Window Vista cannot startup with IPOD connected to it.
Do you experienced this before?
Last night i leave my IPOD connected to the PC when i shut down the PC. The next morning, when i tried to start-up the window (the IPOD still connceted to the PC's USB port), it stucked at the "Memory Test" status. I tried to reset the PC several times, it still cannot work.
I tried to check it out, and i noticed that the IPOD is connected to the PC and the power's light is flashing. Iunplugged the IPOD's USB , and the next time i restart my system, it start-up smoothly.
I never experienced this before when i'm using Window XP instead of Vista. Dun really understand why is this happend. But, the lesson is, better disconnect the IPOD safely before shut down the PC to avoid anything like this to happen again.

I had this problem even in XP. You just have to disconnect it. I coudn't be bothered to find out the cause to it.
the reason this problem occurs is that when the windows boots up, it searches for the any new devices with storage capability, in this case normally are HDD and CD/DVDs in their decks....
in the case of the ipod connected and window unable to boot up, it was due to the same above reason where it was searching for any windows boot up files....but during the process, it got hang and therefore couldnt load the windows properly...
this problem is not singled out to ipod only, it also does happen if u plugged in any memory cards or flash drives...take note about this....
thanks and regards....
i see. thanks for the explaination. ^^
